About the Event
After much popular demand, the Crescent Club Speaker Series is making a comeback in a new format as a recurring monthly event.
Each evening features two of our current club members (and maybe the odd outisder) talking us through the interesting topics that they are involved in their professional, academic or creative lives.
For this first event we welcome:
Gabriella Herrick
Gabriella is conservation architect and heritage consultant who moved to Bath two years ago, becoming a Director at a local architecture practice. She is also a member of the Bath Preservation Trust Architecture and Planning Committee and has been an inspecting architect for both the Church and The Crown Estate. Alongside sharing tales from her career, Gabriella’s wide-ranging talk will cover the basics of conservation architecture, listed buildings, navigating planning, discovering historic details, and how to even date a building by looking at it.
Kenna Dallaway
Kenna is a Product Manager at the Ordnance Survey, driving digital innovation within the built environment. She will be speaking about what digitization can enable, even in legacy and historic data sets. An example of this is the analysis of transforming British high streets, as picked up by the BBC: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-63799670
